This may be the Corvette for you! This flashy '62 has the one of the brightest, most eye-catching paint jobs we've ever seen on a straight axle, and wheels to match. Paint on this car looks to be very recent and is in very good to excellent condition with a deep shine and very few flaws. Convertible top is newer as well, showing no staining or window issues. Chrome looks like it might have been redone at one point, and is showing some very fine scratches, but is in very presentable condition nonetheless. Exterior chrome door handles show some very minor pitting but are otherwise very nice and function well. Taillights are in good original condition with a few hairline cracks, and the weatherstripping is also in good condition as it is completely intact and very soft. A set of 17 inch polished aluminum American Racing Torque Thrust II wheels have been added, and really set this car off. These wheels are in excellent condition with no curb rash, and wear 245/45/17 Fuzion ZRI tires with 9/32nds tread depth remaining. Nonetheless, we can supply original style steel wheels, hubcaps, and wide whitewall tires if desired for no additional cost. The interior of this 1962 Corvette Convertible shows brand new seat covers and very good condition door panels. Dash pad, gauges, steering wheel, and carpet are in good condition, showing nothing obvious that would require immediate attention. A cassette stereo has been added, and features the "Corvette" script. The engine compartment of this car has been very well detailed, and the engine block shows casting number 3903352, which corresponds to a 1967 2 bolt main 327ci engine used in Chevrolet passenger cars. The underside and frame of this 1962 Corvette Convertible has just been extensively detailed, and is just as nice as the paint on top, with no rust and a very solid frame. Ignition shielding is present as well. A correct air cleaner and rare Rochester 4 Jet carburetor are in place, and the intake appears to be correct for a 1964-65 327/350hp Corvette. Perhaps the best part of this car's drivability is the fact that it has a 4 speed automatic transmission, which is basically the same transmission used in all automatic Corvettes 1982-05. The result is a smooth automatic that can be driven on the highway without winding out the RPM's, which greatly helps gas mileage.
