Assembled on September 16, 1965 as St. Louis body #319, this is one of the first Corvettes built for the 1966 model year, and one of the few to sneak out the door before the factory decided to reduce the engine's rating to 425hp. This car has been very well restored, and is ready to show. Paint is very nice with an excellent shine, and very few flaws. Chrome bumpers are in very good to excellent condition, showing no rust, pitting, dings, or other wear. Convertible top is new, and is in excellent condition with a clear window. Weatherstripping is in very good condition, looking to be recent as well. This 1966 Corvette 427 Convertible wears a set of bolt-on style knockoff wheels in excellent condition, which are wrapped in a set of reproduction Coker Classic goldline tires. This car is equipped with a set of sidepipes to give it the street presence that it's top-dog 427ci engine begs for. The interior of this car shows very good condition seat covers, steering wheel, door panels, center console, gauges, and carpet. Correct GM seatbelts are also present. The engine compartment of this 1966 Corvette 427 Convertible has been extensively detailed, wearing what looks to be recent paint, and is complete with ignition shielding, correct braided ignition wires, and correct hoses and clamps. The frame on this car is clean, rust-free, and nicely detailed as well. This car is documented with its original protect-o-plate, and comes with its original owner's manual and several other rare factory documents as well.
