Assembled on March 6, 1970, this Corvette Convertible is in very nice shape and has many recent parts. Paint on this car is an older lacquer job, showing some stress in a few areas, but still producing a nice shine. The convertible top is in very good condition, looking to be recent with a very good clear window. Chrome bumpers are probably a few years old, and look very good with no noticeable flaws. Taillights show some wear from age, but are not in need of any immediate attention, and the chrome exterior door handles have good return springs and show little wear. Weatherstripping appears very recent and is nice and soft. Correct width rally wheels are mounted, and are in good condition with good trim rings and center caps. BF Goodrich Radial T/A raised white letter tires are on these wheels, and show approximately 80% treadlife remaining. The interior of this 1970 Corvette Convertible shows recent seat covers, door panels, and carpet. Center console is in fair condition, and the dash pad is very good with no cracks. Original GM seatbelts are still installed. Gauges are nice and clear with minimal color fading. The original engine in this car shows casting date February 11, 1970, and wears a correct intake manifold. This engine compartment has been upgraded with a chrome alternator and water pump as well. The frame on this car looks to be very solid and rust-free. Original black vinyl hardtop is available for this car for an additional $1,500, and is in very good condition. Keep in mind that 1970 was one of the lowest production years ever for the Corvette, making this a very rare car in a very desirable color -- not to mention it's a rare 4 speed air conditioning car!
