In the midst of designing, building and racing some of the most powerful and outrageous Corvettes on the planet, John Greenwood & Co. developed a prototype Sportwagon Corvette. It has been said that John needed more space for his weekend jaunts to the beach than the standard Stingray provided. The end result was a very sleek and unique "Corvette Sportwagon". It was an immense improvement of an earlier kit designed by Chuck Miller and sold through Eckler's catalog. Besides the more attractive asthethics, the biggest improvement was the rear opening "hatch" that allowed access from the back of the car. The Greenwoods were undaunted in their quest to build the ultimate hauler, and they succeeded. It is estimated that less than 24 copies of their original prototype were ever produced. This is one of those copies. This particular Sportwagon is in superb condition with all the Greenwood badges and tweaks intact. It is ready to show, cruise or haul lumber form Home Depot! If you are even thinking you should own this car, don't hesitate!
