We are very excited to present this 1986 Pace Car. Corvette Pace Cars are very special and I986 not only marked the return of convertibles but also introduced the FIRST Corvette “convertible” Pace Car option. The grabber yellow paint really makes a statement and shows off the classic design. Many Corvette enthusiasts believe that yellow is the “true 1986 Pace Car color.” But, it’s the engine modifications that will really put a big grin on your face. The first owner wasn’t happy with the low horsepower so he had the engine rebuilt for performance. It’s the original engine modified to run a Paxton supercharger that bumps up the horsepower to 500 (estimated).
If you want a prime quality Pace Car that is really fast, here it is. Of course, it has all the comfort options and the 4-speed with overdrive manual transmission.
The overall condition of this Corvette is exceptionally nice. The original paint has a few minor chips and the graphite color leather interior shows very little wear. With an odometer reading only 30,492 miles, the two owners have obviously pampered this Corvette.
As part of the package, this Corvette comes with 2 extra rim sets and one extra set of tires. That’s besides the “like new” 5-spoke Corvette chrome wheels and BFG tires that are currently on the car.
