| This is a stock 1989 Corvette convertible with 32,000 original miles. 1 of 698 dark blue metallic convertibles (rare color). It is an Illinois car originally purchased from Reichert Chevrolet in Crystal Lake 9-18-1989. There are 4 owners registered in the first 6 years of the car, 2 since 1-31-1996 (including me). I have owned since 11-13-04.
The car is in exceptional original condition. Original paint has a few scratches but no dents, peeling or fading. The interior is original and clean. Carpet has driver foot wear, the driver leather seat has some wear, but all is there, no tears or rips. Everything works. In the last 3 years I have changed the rear diff fluid, trans fluid, done oil and filter changes, replaced battery with correct GM replacement, replaced rear top window, installed 4 Good Year Eagle F1 GS-D3 VSB on OEM chromed 1989 rims, replaced the power antenna, had D&M corvette flush brakes, rebuild front brakes, replace alternator, serpentine belt, fuel filter and right front headlamp motor.
Standard options include; power doors, windows, steering, am/fm cassette, a/c, power side view mirrors, tilt, and anti lock brakes. Factory options include; 6 way driver and passenger leather seats, engine oil cooler, radiator cooling boost fan, illuminated LH visor mirror, heavy duty radiator, performance axle ratio. It also includes an after market alarm systems with key less entry that was dealer installed.
Sale includes, copy of original window sticker, build sheet, sales brochures (from the Corvette Museum) and a Mid America Multilayer Car Cover w/EM. This car is a Certified Silver Spinner Winner from Chevy/Vette Vest spring of 08. It received 930 points out of 1000 (would have won gold spinner if I had detailed the under carriage). It is a prime candidate for Survivor Certification at next years Bloomington Gold when it reaches 20 years old.
