NOM Chevrolet V8 engine, automatic transmission, posi rear-end. This Silver Anniversary runs great and is priced to sell. We believe this paint to be original; time has not been kind to it, and it is experiencing heavy checking and has peeled in many areas. Additionally, a few of the cowl vents have broken on the hood, and there is some minor fiberglass damage at the front corner of the driver's fender, as well as a small crack in the same fender. A Pace Car spoiler has been added, which will certainly help the looks of the rear of this car when it is repainted by its new owner. Car shows a body assembly date of December 9, 1977. T-tops look to be aftermarket; although they feature the LOF logo, they appear to be painted units that have had the centers cut out and replaced with glass. Although there are no cracks in the tops, there is some slight de-lamination of the glass on the passenger's side. The tailights each have some small cracks in them, however they are all intact. Weatherstripping is in above average condition for its age, and is still intact on the A and B-pillars. This C3 is equipped with factory slotted aluminum wheels, which should shine up nicely. One center cap is missing from the wheels. Tires are bald, dry-rotted, and missing tread, and therefore this car MUST be picked up with a trailer. Glass is in good shape, showing an older tint job that needs to be redone. Leather seat covers are torn and should be replaced as well. Door panels are in fair shape, although a duct tape repair covers a large portion of the upper driver's side. Leather steering wheel cover needs to be replaced also, due to cracking and heavy discoloration. The dash pad is overall in good shape, but shows some hairline cracks around the edges. Center console and trim are in good shape; clock is of course not functional at this time. A Pioneer DEH-P8000R CD stereo has been added to this C3. The engine in the car appears to be a remanufactured 1955-86 Chevrolet V8, which is missing its casting number, date code, and stamp pad numbers. An Edelbrock Performer intake and carburetor have been added, with the carburetor showing some corrosion. Additionally, a set of chrome Chevrolet valve covers and a small chrome air cleaner have been added, which are in the same cosmetic condition as the carburetor. There also appears to be wiring for an aftermarket alarm under the hood. On the plus side, a set of dual electric fans have been added to this car, with a switch mounted under the driver's side of the dash. A/C compressor, ignition shielding, spare tire, and air pump are missing. Although the headlights themselves function, they do not retract; therefore expect some vacuum work to be needed on this car. As is very typical with C3s, the brake calipers are leaking and will also need to be replaced. The frame on this car is very solid, with just some very light Georgia surface rust as the factory paint has not held up underneath. These Anniversary cars are getting to be very good investments -- very few other cars can offer a return like this one when fixed up properly. Factory features include power windows, power locks, power steering, power antenna, power brakes, tilt-n-tele, air conditioning, cruise control, rear defrost. $4,750. |
