| Protect-O-Plate Documentation - S/N – 194679S724456; Built July 11, 1969… sold new August 13, 1969 by Iten Chevrolet Co. Minneapolis, MN 55429. I purchased this corvette at the Bloomington Gold Premier Auction June 23, 2001. The car had less than 300 miles on a body off, frame-up restoration that was completed in 1997. It is an original 427/390HP car with a replacement engine block (w/correct casting # 3963515; date coded June 14, 1969). Since this was a non-matching number car, two changes were made from original during the body off restoration… the engine was rebuilt to the 400 HP Tri-power arrangement (w/all correct components including complete smog system) and the original green leather interior was replaced with new saddle leather interior… along with a new saddle convertible top.
This car also includes the original matching number M21 – 2.20:1 close ratio 4-speed transmission and original 3.70:1 heavy duty posi-traction rear axle. Other options include… K66 Transistor Ignition, A82 – Head Restraints, A01 – Tinted Glass (original RH & LH side glass codes) , N14 Side Mount Exhaust, N37 – Tilt & Telescopic Steering, N40 – Power Steering, TJ2 – Front Fender Louver Ornamentation, UA6 – Horn Alarm System.
The car has been kept in a climate controlled garage and only driven a few hundred miles per year (never in rain since restoration). It currently has approx. 5400 miles and has been maintained to show condition (including the bottom side). The restoration also included new carpeting and chrome. It is a no hit body, solid frame corvette. I have the original owners manual, protection plan folder with protect-o-plate, and wheel trim instruction sheet plus all maintenance documentation since restoration. |
