This car not only looks good, but also runs and drives extremely well. Body-on restoration has just been completed, and this car is ready to take a road trip, or just relax and bask in the shade at a car show! Assembly date on this A.O. Smith Body car corresponds to November 12, 1965. Paint is new, and appears to be in very good condition. Chrome bumpers are extremely nice, having just been replaced, and the exterior door handles are in very good condition as well. The convertible top on this car is BRAND NEW, as is the associated weatherstripping. Taillights are very nice with no cracks. This 1966 Corvette Convertible wears Western knockoff wheels in good condition with brand new whitewall radial tires. Interior is very nice, looking to be very original, but in good condition. Carpet is brand new; gauges look to be unrestored originals, but are all in working condition with the exception of the clock. The engine in this car shows a casting number that would be correct for a 1966 Corvette, and a correct 250hp manual transmission suffix on the stamp pad. Simply stated, this is a restoration engine that is very similar to the original engine. Additions to this car include a Hurst shifter, finned aluminum valve covers (normally installed in higher-horsepower Corvettes of this era), and a chrome water outlet. Many more new parts have been installed on this 1966 Corvette Convertible, including brake calipers, brake hoses, power steering pump, door sill plates, emblems, gas tank, belts and hoses, and a Holley carburetor.
