Pearl White exterior, code correct Camel leather interior, glass t-tops. 355hp GM Performance Parts ZZ4 350ci engine, 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission, posi rear-end. This is a very special 1981 Corvette, and for several reasons. Assembled on June 26, 1981, this Corvette has received what was probably a very costly restoration with TONS of performance parts and enhancements. The original code 10 exterior paint has been redone in a gorgeous pearl white. This paint is in very nice condition, looking to be recent with plenty of shine and few imperfections. Exterior emblems look to be new and look great! The glass tops are mirrored PPG units, and are in excellent condition with no apparent flaws. Taillights appear to be original, and are showing normal light wear; weatherstripping appears to be new, and is in excellent condition. A set of chrome ZR1 style wheels have been installed, and are in good condition with no curb rash, and wear Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 tires showing 75% treadlife remaining. The interior of this 1981 Corvette is in very nice condition, with very good to excellent leather seat covers, steering wheel cover, door panels, and center console. Dash cap looks to be original, but is not showing any cracks. Carpet is correct cut pile pattern, and appears to be very recent with no noticeable flaws. An aftermarket 165 mph speedometer has replaced the original 85 mph unit, and looks right at home with the rest of the gauges. Original stereo has been replaced with an Eclipse CD head unit, model number 5342R. Additionally, a Rockford-Fosgate Punch 125.2 amplifier/speaker unit has been added to the rear storage area. The real work on this car of course is under the hood -- starting with a brand new 355hp 350ci ZZ4 GM crate engine mated to a four speed automatic transmission (700R4), leading to a Unitrax rear differential, this Corvette was built with a nice balance between power and reliability. Additions to this engine include a set of coated longtube headers with aluminized true dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers, heavy-duty aluminum radiator, billet aluminum pulley kit with accessory brackets, Sanden a/c compressor, chrome alternator, Edelbrock Performer intake, Edelbrock water pump, Edelbrock Performer carburetor with electric choke, dual electric fans, chrome air cleaner, MSD Pro Billet distributor, and MSD ignition coil. Headlight actuators appear to be new as well. It is very obvious that this car was done right, and it will provide many, many miles and years of enjoyment for its new owner!
