In 1967 Chevrolet made a major overhaul to the Corvette brand when they unveiled the all new C3 corvette for the 1968 model year. The Mako Shark II design for the car was conceived by Larry Shinoda. The C3 corvette was produced all the way until 1982. For those 14 years Chevrolet would make many changes, many of which were suggestions from their customer base. This model is a '71 and wow what a car! 1971 was the next to last year for the true chrome bumper era of the c3s and are highly collectible and this one is an LT1 to boot! Per the owner the paint is factory. Color code is 973 and decodes as Mille Miglia Red. Paint still has a nice sheen even with some signs of age, to be expected with a factory paint job. This color with the bright chrome and Rally wheels with Firestone White Oval Tires really makes this Stingray have a nice presence.
