1957 fuel injected Corvette for sale. 4 speed, original 283/283hp engine, soft top only. 42,976 miles. Easy to remove roll bar built for this car in 1957. After I bought it from the widow of the second owner in Los Angeles in 2012 I became friends with the original owner, who had sold the car in 1964. He told me that the originating dealer for this car was CS Mead Chevrolet in Pasadena, where it was believed to have been race prepped by Bill Thomas. Extensively road raced and drag raced at several southern California tracks, including Del Mar, Pomona, Willow Springs, San Fernando, San Gabriel and more 1957-67. 51 race trophies and extensive history included in the sale. Track 1/4 mile record (12.7) set at San Fernando on June 8, 1958 (cerificate included), 1958 California state 1/4 mile champion (trophy included). I'm the third owner. The car sat for many years before I purchased it, and it was prepped for sale at Guldstrand Motorsports. Suspension by Max Balchowski, wheels from Andy Porterfield.
