It was delivered new to Courtesy Chevrolet in Los Angeles, California, and ordered with performance in mind. Dressed in Riverside Red with a Black Vinyl Interior and a Body-Color Auxiliary Hardtop, the options list includes the L84 327/360 HP Fuel Injected Engine, M20 Muncie 4-Speed Manual Transmission, G81 Positraction Rear Axle (4:11 Ratio), C07 Auxiliary Hardtop, P91 Black Sidewall Tires, U65 AM Signal Seek Radio, A01 Tinted Glass, N11 Off-Road Exhaust, and a Black Convertible Top.
A recent comprehensive frame-off restoration was completed in 2017 to concours NCRS and Bloomington Gold specifications. All components have been restored with high attention to detail, including the Engine (Casting #3782870) (Casting Date K52, December 2nd, 1962) (Engine Pad 3104206 = This car's VIN Derivative Engine Assembly Code / FII07RF F = Flint Assembly Plant, 1107 = November 7th, RF = 327/360 HP Fuel Injection), Rochester Fuel Injection Unit #7017375 (Serial #1610), M20 Transmission (Casting # T10-1, Transmission VIN Stamp 3104206), Rear Differential (CE 11 10 62 = 4:11 Ratio assembled on November 10th, 1962), Alternator #1100628 (Dated 2L6, December 6th, 1962), Starter #107242 (Dated 2K15, December 15th, 1962), Radiator #3155316 (Dated 62J, November 1962), and Overflow Tank #3155416 (Dated 62J, November 1962). All systems have been restored or rebuilt to concours condition with many NOS and original parts used.
This Fuelie was taken on the National Judging Circuit in 2017 and achieved a Bloomington Gold Award. Having spent most of its life in California, the car retained its original California Black Plate at the time of restoration. Also included in the sale is a purchase agreement from the famed high-performance dealership Harry Mann Chevrolet in Los Angeles, California, where this Corvette was sold as a used car in 1966, along with photos and videos of the restoration process, photos of the vehicle before restoration, a reproduction window sticker, all books, and a plaque with the Bloomington Gold Award.
