Corvette Description

1964 L-76 Corvette Sting Ray Convertible with white soft top and matching color hard top. River side Red with red leather interior. Solid lifted 327-365 hp engine. Cannot confirm the engine is original to car as when it was rebuilt, the block was stamped with the word 'expensive' where the casting number was. 4 speed Muncie transmission is original to car. A power steering kit was added by the previous owner. The car is in very nice condition, inside and out. Some notes about the car. I bought it about 5 yrs ago. The car ran great, but because I owned about 4 other classic cars and was working full time, I did not get a lot of driving time in it. Around a year ago when I had it in the shop for an oil change and lube job,we noticed some gas on the manifold. Not knowing exactly what was going on or where the carb was leaking, I went ahead and had a new Holley "not rebuilt"carb put on. At the same time I had new plugs and wires put in. The car ran better than ever. I think the original carb had not been run enough and sitting dried some seals out. The original carb "Holley 2818" will be included with the car. A couple of months ago I had a new leaf spring installed, at the same time, I had the trailing arms rebuilt, new emergency brake cables installed and the brakes gone thru. Also had new side yokes put in and the differential gone thru, including new fluid and seals. I was told when I bought the car that it had only been repainted once. Not sure how long ago that was but it is still in very nice condition, no cracks or bubbles. The interior is in very nice shape. I think the dash and gauges are all original. The clock is not working and the temp gauge is not accurate but the car does not run hot. I have kept a close eye on any signs of over heating and it does not over heat. As I said before, I cannot confirm that the engine "block" is original to the car, as when it was rebuilt at sometime before I bought it, some one had the word "EXPENSIVE" stamped where the numbers were on the casting deck. I can tell you that it is a correct era "if not the original" L-76 engine with solid lifters, correct heads, manifold and runs very strong. I have lowered my asking price because I cannot confirm that the engine "block" is original to the car. The car looks, starts, runs and drives great. Asking 47,500.00 OBO. Privately owned. Please email or call for all or any questions. 719-345-3051. Note, I have more photos, do not know why some of the photos came out side ways, cannot seem to fix that. Also in the vin # under the dash there is an S in between the 7 and the 1 in the # on the tag.
