Corvette Description

1982 CORVETTE DARK CLARET $14,900 Just 43,000 miles Please Text Eric directly at 720-839-15sevenseven with any questions about this beautiful Corvette. I am proud to offer this numbers-matching 1982 Corvette in fantastic condition with only 43,000 original miles. This Corvette looks amazing, runs great, and is an excellent driver. The Dark Clarett paint with Maroon interior is a very beautiful and desirable color combination that looks stunning on the car. The trim tag codes verify that it is also the correct and original color scheme. This is a great car show, Corvette. If you are into car shows or want to do the car show circuit. This car is just right for it. Super clean inside and out. You’ll be proud to park this Corvette next to any other great car there. I’ve just cut the price ridiculously low, which is well under what the car is worth. There is nothing wrong with it. I just want to move it to some lucky new owner who will get a great car for a great price. In addition to the brand-new paint, this Corvette is loaded with options, such as glass T-tops, a power seat, power mirrors, and tilt and telescopic steering. Besides the correct paint and trim codes, this Corvette is "Numbers Matching" and almost every part we checked on the car is correct with the proper part numbers and appropriate date codes. The last six digits of the VIN, 103487, are stamped on the engine pad, and the engine is original to the car. This is an excellent opportunity to own a classic Corvette that is ready to be driven and enjoyed at an unbeatable value. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come, as the Corvette market from 1980 through 1982 is strong and on the rise. The 1980 to 1982 model years draw a good premium over other late C3 Corvettes, especially for high-quality low mileage examples like this car. Please look closely at the car to understand how nice, clean, and original this Corvette is. Exterior The Dark Clarett exterior is in great condition. As one can see, the finish has a terrific gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. Both doors open and shut nicely. The car shows great panel fit/gap overall. The BF GoodRich white letter tires are in excellent shape and have plenty of life left. They are correctly sized 225/70R15. There are no major imperfections, and this could be termed a one-foot paint, as you have to look closely for any imperfections in the paint. It has not been waxed since the repaint, and all one would need to do to seal this spectacular paint is a coat of acrylic polish. Interior The Maroon interior of this Corvette is in very good condition. The gauge faces are crisp and clean, and the lenses are clear. The carpet is in excellent shape and shows very little fading. The dash and console look great, with no cracks or sun fading. Overall, the door panels are in great shape, and the door pulls are solid and intact. Unlike many other C3 Corvettes, the door panels also fit well and tight to the door. The seats are in excellent shape and look just as great in person, with minimal tears in the typical area on the bolster where the driver gets in and out. Please note that these are the original seats and skins, not some cheap covers or aftermarket replacements. The original radio is still in the car, and most importantly, the dash has never been cut for an aftermarket installation. Please note that both seat belts work and retract properly. This is a common problem on C3 Corvettes and an issue many buyers do not think to check. Corvette interiors from this era are not known to wear well over time, and the excellent condition of this original interior is a huge testament to the overall condition of this Corvette, which is another great verification of the low original mileage. Mechanical This Corvette is in very good mechanical condition. The numbers matching the L83 engine starts immediately every time, run well, and idles smoothly. The 1982 Chevrolet Corvette came with the L83 engine, which is a 350 cubic inch (5.7 L) V8 engine with 200 horsepower (149 kW) and 285 lb. ft. of torque (386 N m). It has a 9:1 compression ratio and is front-mounted at a 90° angle. The L83 engine was the only option available during production of the 1982 Corvette. It drives great and feels nice on the road and at highway speeds. It drives straight and stops straight. There are no strange noises or vibrations, and the car performs well overall. This Corvette has plenty of power and is quite fast. The transmission shifts smoothly throughout the power band. The car runs cool and does not overheat. Also, the engine compartment with the original ignition shielding, original air cleaner, smog pump, catalytic converter, and correct finned aluminum valve covers are all still in place. See the work done on the car at the bottom of the description. The horn works, as do all the exterior lights, interior lights, dash lights, indicators, power windows, power mirrors in every direction, rear defrost, and wipers. All of the gauges work except the clock. The blower for the heater works at all speeds. The radio works. The vacuum system for the headlights works correctly with no effort or binding in the mechanism. Also, the headlights go up properly with either the headlight switch or the vacuum override switch. The power seat works. Not enough can be said about how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the T-tops out on a beautiful day. Also, for any 1982 Corvette you may look at, verify that the "check engine" light is working correctly. The light should go on when the key is turned on to confirm that it is working, then quickly go off when the car is started. A great number of these 1982 Corvettes have had.
