He reports the interior has not been restored and the paint was resprayed several years ago. Both are very well preserved. Having never been frame-off restored, this Corvette is in beautiful condition. All the body panels and interior appear original. The undercarriage looks clean and solid. The drive train is period correct having the right numbers. The suspension (front and rear) has been serviced with new springs, kingpins, shocks, etc. The new Coker tires have just a few miles on them. The 283 engine performs very well as does the three-speed manual transmission. It shifts properly; the clutch works fine, and the differential is quiet. The white soft top is new (Haartz) as is the top’s frame. Included with the sale is an original hardtop painted a matching Silver Blue. The owner reports it is in excellent condition. All the gauges; the lights, and the Wonderbar AM radio work. Also included with the sale is the numbers-correct original intake, air cleaner and carburetor. The custom tubular frame resembles the original Grand Sport and was built by L&J Chassis to accommodate a Corvette C4 suspension, brakes, rack & pinion steering, and differential (Dana® 36 Positraction with 3.54 gears). In the engine bay, there is a familiar LT1 engine (355 ci.) rated at 400HP. It was built by The Balancing Act and features a 4-bolt main; a 600 CFM Holley double pump carburetor, and an aluminum LT1 Intake with a Pertronix® ignition and distributor (tach drive). The previous owners took great care of this vette, recently replacing the master cylinder, brake calipers, brake pads, and rebuilding the transmission with a shift kit. We changed the oil and filter, transmission fluid and filter, rear end grease and additive, and checked and lubed the chassis.
